PROCLAMATION OF THE MAYOR 042320 COVID-19

On behalf of Mayor Teso and City Council,

Attention City of South Tucson Restaurants and Business Owners:

We hope this email finds you well, attached is an amended Proclamation issued by Mayor Robert Teso.

Additionally, whatever your current operational status is, listed are a few steps you may want to consider taking:

  1. Obtain a copy of your business interruption insurance policy from your insurance broker. **refer to the article below **
  2. Article:  https://riskandinsurance.com/business-interruption-coronavirus/
  3. Review the policy with a knowledgeable attorney to know your rights.
  4. If available, make a claim with your insurer so you do not accidently waive any rights.
  5. If the insurer is denying a valid or potentially valid claim, consider enforcing your rights through litigation.
  6. Attached you will find the Amended Emergency Proclamation. Refer to the second page. The second (whereas) sentence will state the City of South Tucson’s position on commercial business coronavirus-related loss. ( Please reference this policy language as one of your insurance claim supporting documents).
