The Finance Department is responsible for providing a wide range of financial support services to the City Council, management, staff and public.  We are committed to protecting the City's financial resources by adhering to the City's internal control policies and complying with all local, state and federal rules and regulations.  Our goal is to operate with the highest level of accountability and transparency.

 

Finance Department functions include:

Preparing the annual budget and providing on-going monitoring of the budget throughout the year

Accounting of all financial transactions and preparation for the annual audit and annual financial report

Developing a long-term fiscal forecast and financial planning information

Managing the City's financial software system

Cash management, accounts payable, cash receipting, payroll and grants (financial reporting and billing)

Business license billing and tax payment review

Assistance with all financial issues, including internal control development and compliance
