PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH TUCSON
Notice is hereby given that the CITY OF SOUTH TUCSON will hold a SPECIAL election as follows:
*SPECIAL Election: August 5, 2025
ELECTION RESULTS
The unofficial results of the election will be posted beginning at approximately 8 PM on election night and will continue following the election until all ballots are tabulated.
Results will be posted on the Pima County Elections Department website.
City Council Member seats being recalled: Three council seats
Mayor, Roxanna Valenzuela - Term Expires 2026
Councilor, Cesar Aguirre - Term Expires 2026
Councilor, Brian Flagg - Term Expires 2026

Eduardo Baca recalling council seat against Council Member Cesar Aguirre
Christopher Dodson recalling council seat against Council Member, Brian Flagg
Anita Romero recalling council seat against Mayor Roxana Valenzuela
Information and candidate packets are available online at https://www.southtucsonaz.gov/elections or at the CITY OF SOUTH TUCSON, City Clerk’s Office, 1601 South 6th Avenue, South Tucson, AZ 85713.
The filing period to run as a candidate in the recall election is Wednesday, May 7, 2025 to June 6, 2025.
Candidate Packet Filing Deadline: 5:00 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2025
Candidate packets must be filed with the City of South Tucson City Clerk’s Office, 1601 South 6th Avenue, South Tucson, AZ 85713.
Voter Registration Deadlines:
Midnight on Monday, July 7, 2025
*In accordance with A.R.S. § 19-216, that the candidate receiving the largest number of votes shall be declared elected for the remainder of the term and shall begin serving the remainder of the term on his or her qualifications for the office and on completion of the canvass.

El período de presentación para postularse como candidato en la elección revocatoria es de miercoles 7 de mayo de 2025 a viernes 6 de junio de 2025.
Fecha límite para someter la solicitud del candidato: viernes 6 de mayo de 2025 a las 5:00 p. m.
La solicitud para la candidatura debe presentarse en el Departamento de la Secretaría Municipal de Ciudad de Sur Tucson, 1601 S 6th Avenue, South Tucson, AZ 85713.
Fechas límite para el registro de votantes:
lunes 7 de julio de 2025 a media noche
*De acuerdo con A.R.S. § 19-216, el candidato que reciba el mayor número de votos será declarado electo por el resto del período y comenzará a cumplir el resto del período según sus calificaciones para el cargo y al finalizar el escrutinio.
