I have worked with the City of South Tucson for the last thirty five years (35). I was hired as a Fleet Service Technician when I first started with the Department. I then moved to Management where Iwas in charge of Solid Waste routes and assignments and very instrumental in bringing to the City the first ever automated system. I learned all the operations of the City to include Project management. It was my responsibility to overlook all subcontract work for repairs and completion.
Training,Blue stake Utilities, Asphalt management, Traffic Signals, all lighting residential and commercial.
Experience, heavy equipment operations; Bob cat, 580 front end loader, Broom bear sweeper, boom truck, dump truck etc.
Supervisor courses Safety inspector and events coordinator for all departments.
I was appointed Public Works Director in the Public works department in 2001 and work under the City Manager under the council's direction.
I am very pleased and proud to have worked for my community for so many years and hope that my legacy will be remembered as someone that made a difference.
Sincerely, Public works Director, Angel M. Lopez
