Permit applications require 2 digital copies of a site and a floor plan.
Applications with the site and floor plans are to be submitted in person, digitally and/or mailed/shipped to City Hall, 1601 S 6th Ave, South Tucson, AZ 85713.
New construction, alterations, modifications, or tenant improvements to commercial properties/structures require construction plans drawn by licensed and registered professionals by the State of Arizona, Board of Technical Registration. The registrant will need to abide by the license specification. (Ex. Architect, mechanical engineer, plumbing engineer, electrical engineer). All registered professionals conducting business within City limits must have an active business license with the City of South Tucson. New construction or alterations, expansions, and modifications to existing structures within flood-prone properties are also required to submit an Elevation Certificate.
All contractors are required to be licensed through the Arizona Registrar of Contractors in their respective classification, whether conducting work for residential or commercial properties. All contractors conducting business within City limits must have an active business license with the City of South Tucson.
